How to play Raw Deal
Your first Premiere match
- Book the match. Choose a Superstar and keep their starter or build a 60-card Arsenal. Use Play vs. AI to practice, Create room to invite a LAN opponent, or Watch AI vs. AI to see two decks play.
- Deal opening hands. Each Superstar has a starting hand size and Superstar Value. The higher value goes first, with ties decided randomly. Read your Superstar’s ability before you start.
- Build Fortitude. Draw at the start of your turn. Pick a Maneuver or Action with an F cost you can meet. You start at 0F. The printed damage of cards in your Ring adds to your Fortitude. Hybrid cards may offer more than one play mode.
- Respond to an attack. A legal Reversal from hand stops the play before it reaches the Ring and can deal damage back. If the Maneuver lands, overturn one Arsenal card per point of damage. A legal Reversal overturned this way stops the remaining damage and ends the attacker’s turn. The Maneuver stays in the Ring. If damage stopped early and the Maneuver has Stun Value, the attacker can draw up to that many cards.
- Finish the match. Keep playing while you have legal moves, or end your turn. You lose by pin if you cannot overturn a required damage card. An empty Arsenal at the end of a turn can lead to a count-out.
Example opening
At 0F, play Punch as a 3D Strike. If your opponent plays Step Aside from hand, Punch goes to Ringside and you gain no Fortitude. If Punch lands, it stays in your Ring and gives you 3F, even if your opponent overturns Step Aside while taking damage.
Watching the AI
Your selected Arsenal faces the opponent’s starter. Use Next AI action to read each decision in the match log, or select a speed and Auto-play. The board shows both public Rings, Arsenal sizes, and Fortitude. Each bot makes decisions from its own seat.
